Many student housing opportunities are available including apartments, houses for rent, and group student housing. It is also an exiting community for recent college graduates and young professionals. The Heights Community Council is the official community advocacy group in the area financed by the Neighborhood Support Program in Cincinnati. We welcome you to take action by joining our Community Council and taking a leadership role as an officer. Please send all correspondence to: Heights Community Council 2634 Stratford Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45220 Purpose of The Heights Community Council: The purpose of The Heights Community Council shall be to develop interest in the improvement of community safety, health, and civic arts by educating its members in civic responsibilities and providing services for the betterment of the people of the vicinity; and to cooperate with other civic associations and organizations with similar purposes. Such purposes shall exclude engaging in individual political campaigns, and the endorsement of, or financial assistance to, candidates for public office. This shall not preclude the Council from taking a position on issues. Meetings HCC meetings are open to the public and are held the second Thursday of each month from September through June. Meetings are at 7pm and are held at the Heights Pavilion building in the Stratford Heights Community located at 2634 Stratford Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220. If you would like a topic added to the meeting agenda, please contact the board president 48 hours prior to the meeting. Membership Eligibility: · Anyone 18 years old or older residing within the boundaries as set forth in the attached plat map · Any property owner, organization, or business located within the boundaries as set forth in the attached plat map · Payments of dues are as follows: Individual membership is $3.00, Organizations & Businesses are $10.00, Household Membership is $5.00, Senior Citizens $2.50. Membership shall be effective for 1-year intervals measured from the time of payment of the dues. Projects The Heights Community Council current holds two of the five positions on the UHCURC Board of Trustees. UHCURC, known as University Heights Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation, is developing the Stratford Heights community.
